WHAT: Our Fall Colors Contest is a contest for all color lovers. We're looking for the boldest, most beautiful, most colorful home in the world.
WHY: Color is a powerful part of interior design, and the cheapest way to change a room, but few feel comfortable using it. To inspire confidence, we're going to share all of the best color homes, tips and sources, worldwide.

Each region will have four winners for a total of 16 regional winners.
The readers’ votes will determine a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place regional winner in each of the four regions—Northeast, Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and Southwest. We will notify these winners by Monday, October 29th.
Each of these 16 winners will be awarded prizes and recognized during their respective regional end of contest event.
These 16 regional winners will be asked to resubmit their entry with 12 photos, a video, and additional text by midnight of November 4th.
The first sixty (60) entrants will win a copy of our book Apartment Therapy: The Eight Step Home Cure.
Four of the 16 regional winners will win National prizes in addition to their regional prizes.
Readers and judges (4 selected from around the country) will review and evaluate the revised and expanded 16 winning entries from November 9th through the 14th.
Readers will be encouraged to comment and assess each entry. The judges will review and take into account these comments when making their final decisions.
Judges determine the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners, irrespective of geography.
A Fall Colors party or parties will be held on November 15th, 2007 during which the winners will be announced for the first time.
Priority will be given to entries received by October 1st, 2007, but entries will be accepted through October 15th. The best 40 entries from each region (at the discretion of each site’s AT editors) will be posted (2 per day) from October 1st through October 26th on each respective city site (Chicago, LA, SF, and NY) for a total of up to 160 total entries.
Registered AT readers will be able to vote once during the 72 hours (3 days) following the posting of each contest entry.
